Multiple OS
See how you could transform your hosting server from the very beginning with a selection of Multiple Operating Systems.
An Operating System is the basic software which controls a computer system. It takes care of the way the hardware functions, the communication with peripheral devices such as a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between applications, plus the prioritization of applications in case multiple ones run at once. Every program which is installed on a desktop or a laptop works by sending requests to the OS for different services via an application program interface (API). The interaction with the OS is possible through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the Internet hosting world, the Operating System is what commands a web server along with all the software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but also every other application for example a VOIP or a game server. In case there're virtual machines created, they employ a guest OS that is run on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our
dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're absolutely free and they won't increase the cost of your new web hosting server, but also because they are extremely stable and secure. Each of them is supported by a big community of developers, so you will be able to choose from thousands of software packages that you may install on your server in case the application that you want to work with has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use since the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with particular OSs only and since we would like to give you as much flexibility as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you get a server with a certain OS, we can change it upon request in case it turns out that you will need another one. We can also keep your OS updated weekly as a part of our useful Managed Services upgrade.
